At the Global Youth Science Journal (GYSJ), we recognize the fundamental importance of preserving scientific literature for future generations of scholars, educators, and innovators worldwide.
We are committed to the perpetual accessibility, digital integrity, and permanent archiving of all published research articles, ensuring that scholarly contributions remain discoverable, citable, and unpaywalled in perpetuity.
To guarantee that published manuscripts remain resilient against technological shifts, infrastructure changes, or server disruptions, GYSJ employs a multi-tiered preservation architecture.
Our archival strategy combines decentralized scholarly networks, open digital repository standards, automated persistent metadata syndication, and cold storage backups.
Every article published in GYSJ is immediately accessible without subscription barriers or embargo periods under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Full-text PDF files, abstracts, figures, citation formats (RIS, BibTeX, EndNote), and JATS XML metadata are continuously maintained in our primary scholarly repository and mirrored across distributed nodes.
To provide redundancy beyond our primary infrastructure, GYSJ actively aligns its publication pipeline with leading international digital preservation initiatives:
These network agreements ensure that in the unlikely event of publication cessation, content will remain accessible to the scholarly community through permanent archive partners.
In accordance with international serial standards (ISSN), all published research is permanently organized under our standardized taxonomy: Volume X, Issue Y (Year). Published papers are never left ungrouped or haphazardly orphaned.
GYSJ operates under an international Continuous Publication Model. Upon reaching the complete curation quorum (minimum 5+ peer-reviewed articles per issue), each sequential issue is formally closed and a unified composite issue volume containing all peer-reviewed papers, complete table of contents, and continuous pagination is compiled into an archival PDF and preserved in our permanent repository network (Zenodo, PKP-PN, and Cloudflare R2).
Every published manuscript is assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with scholarly cross-referencing agencies.
The DOI provides a persistent, immutable hyperlink that resolves directly to the article's landing page, metadata, and full-text document regardless of future URL revisions or domain migrations.
GYSJ fully endorses Green Open Access and self-archiving rights for all contributing youth scientists and research mentors.
Authors retain unrestricted rights to deposit all versions of their paper in repositories:
When depositing published articles, authors are simply requested to provide citation credit and a link to the official DOI.
Articles are archived using open, standard digital formats including PDF/A (standardized for long-term digital preservation) and JATS XML (Journal Article Tag Suite).
These universal formats guarantee that texts, tables, mathematical notations, and graphics remain readable across changing software environments and operating systems over decades.
All journal digital assets, database records, and manuscript files are subjected to regular automated encrypted backups stored geographically separate from production servers.
In the event of hardware failure, catastrophic outage, or unexpected downtime, our recovery protocols enable rapid restoration of the publication platform with zero data loss.
