The Global Youth Science Journal (GYSJ) was established with a singular mission: to eliminate systemic barriers in scientific publishing and provide young minds worldwide with an unpaywalled, peer-reviewed platform for authentic scientific discovery.
We believe that age should never be a constraint on scientific curiosity, innovation, or intellectual contribution. Our leadership team works to foster academic integrity, mentorship, and global collaboration among pre-university researchers.
Traditional academic publishing often presents severe obstacles for emerging youth scholars—including exorbitant article processing charges (APCs), closed distribution paywalls, and limited avenues for constructive editorial guidance.
GYSJ was conceived as an open-access alternative designed from the ground up for youth and undergraduate researchers, providing single-blind peer review, permanent DOI assignment, and rigorous editorial evaluation at zero cost to authors or institutions.
Founder, Platform Architect & Lead Organizer
Passionate about democratizing scientific literacy and open research infrastructure. Focused on creating scalable digital platforms that enable youth around the world to publish original peer-reviewed discoveries.
We operate on three non-negotiable principles:
GYSJ is managed entirely as a volunteer-driven, non-profit academic initiative. Editorial decisions are strictly firewalled from organizational finances and based entirely on scientific validity and academic rigor.
Neither founders nor editorial board members receive financial dividends from publication operations, ensuring unbiased stewardship of all scholarly contributions.
Beyond publishing, GYSJ actively expands educational initiatives including the Student Ambassador Program, STEM writing mentorship, video abstract presentations, and institutional research partnerships.
Our goal is to build an enduring global ecosystem where every student researcher has the confidence and resources to transform an experimental question into a peer-reviewed scientific publication.
