Our Mission
The Global Youth Science Journal (GYSJ) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly platform dedicated to high school and undergraduate researchers. We believe that groundbreaking ideas can emerge from any classroom or laboratory, regardless of age or geography.
Our mission is to provide a 100% free, open-access publishing platform with zero article processing charges (APCs). Every accepted paper undergoes rigorous single-blind peer review adhering to strict author guidelines, and receives a permanent DOI backed by our digital archiving policy to ensure global discoverability.
Through our commitment to scientific integrity, supported transparently through our funding and guided by our distinguished editorial board, the Global Youth Science Journal strives to inspire a generation that creates knowledge, rather than just consuming it.
Publication Schedule
Publication Frequency & Serial Taxonomy
To maintain rigorous scholarly standards and ensure eligibility under international serials registries (including the ISSN International Centre), the Global Youth Science Journal operates on a documented, consistent publication frequency:
- Publication Frequency: Continuous Publication Model (Articles are published online immediately upon peer-review completion and sequentially collated into numbered issues, with each finalized issue maintaining a strict quorum of 5+ peer-reviewed articles).
- Publication Model: Continuous Publication. Accepted, copy-edited articles are published online immediately upon peer-review completion to prevent scholarly delay, with permanent Crossref DOIs, citation tags, and stamped PDF identifiers.
- Issue Collation & Quorum: Articles are systematically assigned to defined volume and issue collections. Single articles are never released haphazardly without issue grouping. Each finalized issue contains a complete curated collection with a guaranteed minimum of 5 peer-reviewed articles per issue.
- Taxonomy Convention: Standardized uniformly across all web pages, table of contents, and PDF downloads as
Volume X, Issue Y (Year)(e.g., Volume 1, Issue 1 (2024), Volume 2, Issue 1 (2025), Volume 3, Issue 1 (2026)). - Article-Level Citation & Pagination: Each published article PDF is stamped with running header and footer citations:
Global Youth Science Journal, Vol. X, No. Y, pp. 1–N (Year)with persistent DOI hyperlink and CC BY 4.0 license attribution. - Composite Issue Archiving: Upon finalization of each complete issue collation (reaching the 5+ article quorum), a unified composite issue volume PDF is compiled with complete front matter, table of contents, and continuous pagination, and preserved across digital repository networks (Zenodo, PKP-PN, and Cloudflare R2 storage).
