GYSJ Heritage Archive & Legacy Papers

GYSJ Heritage Archive

The Heritage Archive preserves historically valuable scientific works that might otherwise become inaccessible. These papers are not new submissions and are published solely for educational and archival purposes. They do not reflect the journal's youth-only authorship policy. They will appear under a separate section of the website so they are not confused with youth submissions.

  • Historical Significance: Papers must be historically significant, difficult to access, or at risk of disappearing.
  • Clear Dates: The original publication date must be clearly stated.
  • Proper Attribution: The original authors and source must be fully and clearly credited.
  • Legality: Republishing must be legally permitted (e.g., public domain, permission from copyright holders, or an appropriate license).
Legacy Paper Exception

GYSJ may, at its sole discretion, accept previously written research papers authored by individuals who are no longer within the journal's youth eligibility age. These submissions are considered only if the work was substantially completed while the author met GYSJ's youth eligibility criteria, or if the paper possesses exceptional historical, educational, or archival value.

GYSJ may occasionally publish legacy manuscripts from authors outside the standard age eligibility where the Editorial Board determines that the work has significant educational, historical, or scientific value. Such publications are exceptional and do not constitute part of GYSJ's standard youth submission program. Acceptance under this exception is rare and decided entirely by the editorial board.
